Do things like quilting circles and knitting clubs and whatnot still exist?

I just am wondering. I've read fiction books where groups of women get together and do these crafty things, but I would love to actually find a group of women/girls that I could get together with a few times a week and get tips on my crochet projects and just talk and be social while doing something I enjoy so much with other girls who enjoy it too.
