Why are kids so much "weaker" these days?

Everyday you hear about some kid who killed himself 'cause he was bullied. I was bullied, I didn't cry, I hit him and it stopped. I have friends who were bullied, they didn't stand up to 'em, they just put up with it, they turned out just fine. Why can't kids today handle a little hazing? Face to face, internet, it doesn't matter, it's all the same. Do you think it's the parents, society, what? I don't anyone to get the wrong idea, it's sad when someone, especially a child, feels that suicide is the only way out. I just got to thinking that I had never heard about a bully related suicide until just recently. It just puzzles me.
