Taking Xanax while having the flu?

I'm sick with the flu, dunno if swine or not, dunno if it's the flu really, because I've been too tired to get myself to a doctor. I don't think it's necessary though. Pretty sure I just have to bedrest it out. Anyway, the flu is giving me trouble sleeping. Sleep I need to recover from the flu. Anyone know if it's safe for me to take Xanax while I have the flu?
