Did you hear about this dog who recently made the Guiness book for being the largest dog in the world?

I read it was an English Mastiff weighing (I think) 282 lbs. Can you imagine? Does anyone know anymore details, like where it's from and how tall it is? Speaking of English Mastiffs, do you want to hear something VERY SAD? It angers me sooo much. Someone had 2 English Mastiffs in the paper for free and some friends of mine rented a house in the country and since they had tons of room, they took them in. They didn't think what would happen when their lease expired ('cause the owners explained they could only stay a year). Well, it happened and guess what? They couldn't find anyone who wanted 2 200 lb. dogs? Big surprise. I suggested calling Mastiff rescue groups. I would've loved them but they were too hard for me (120 lbs) to control. One of they guys living there had parent's living on a farm so they agreed to take them. The guy was supposed to build a large enclosure for them but he was too lazy. Well, one of them got loose and I guess, killed a bunch (cont'd)
