Electrostatics? What determines the direction of electrons' flow?

experiments have shown which surfaces bear +ve charges and which -ve. so there is no confusion. as regards direction... it's our convention....in all the electric works we show "current' flow from +ve to -ve but actually electrons flow from -ve to +ve. please note, +ve charged and -ve charged particle are two separate physical entities. conductors do not hold charge unlike insulators, that's why physics differs in observations.
