Lexden L.Po, The Pond of William Morris at Merton Abby?

All I can find out is that it was painted after 1881, which is when Morris acquired Merton Abbey. Not much help, if you need precise dating. Worth asking for more information from the Victoria & Albert Museum, where the original is.
