What does this quote mean?:?

While driving in snow, for instance, and one finds their car slipping out of control, it's recommended that the driver turn the steering wheel towards the direction of the skid to have a better chance of avoiding a crash...so, I would ume the quote means to think and act wisely in times of crisis and not to fight against things that can ultimately save you from disaster
